Rajarh Mechanical Works

Rajarh Mechanical Works is located at 9961 Janta Nagar. If you’ve been to Janta Nagar, you know it’s an area where people actually make things with their hands. Our workshop is one of many on the street, but we’ve been at this specific number for many years. It’s a loud place. There’s always the sound of metal being cut or the hum of the old generator when the power acts up in the afternoon. We don't have a front office with a receptionist to greet you. You just walk in and find us by the machines in the back. The air usually has a bit of smoke and the smell of hot iron. Our hands are almost never clean, no matter how much soap we use at the end of the day. We work on all sorts of mechanical parts, some small and some that take two of us to carry to the truck. The floor is uneven and we have to shim the machines to keep them level. We don't have a fancy logo or a big sign, just the address and the name painted roughly on the door. The guys take turns bringing in snacks, and we usually sit on some old crates when we take our lunch break. It’s hard, physical work, but there’s a certain satisfaction in finishing a piece and seeing it work right. We don’t do much talking, we just get on with the job.
