Our shop is in Salem Tabri. We specialize in fireworks. It’s a bit of a niche business. We aren't busy every day of the year, but when festival season hits, it’s non-stop. We have to be very careful with how we store everything. It’s all about being safe. The shop is pretty basic. Just shelves full of boxes. We have the loud crackers and the pretty sparklers too. My uncle started this place a long time ago. I took over recently. It’s a lot of responsibility. We don't have a big team. It’s mostly family helping out during the peak months. The street outside can get very crowded. Finding a place to park is almost impossible sometimes. We try to tell people to come early in the morning. We don't use any fancy sales tactics. People come because they know we’ve been here forever. Sometimes we have to explain how to use the bigger fireworks safely. It’s important. We aren't trying to be the biggest supplier in Ludhiana. We just want to provide what people need for their celebrations. The shop stays cool inside because of the thick walls. That’s good for the stock. We just keep things simple and honest. It’s a steady business and we like being part of the community here.
