Pannu Bricks

If you come down to Guru Nanak Market in Dugri, you’ll find us at Shop No-4. It’s a busy spot, especially in the mornings when all the shops are opening up and the laborers are looking for work. Pannu Bricks is basically a yard full of supplies and a small office where we handle the orders. It’s a lot of physical work, loading up the trolleys and making sure the counts are right. The dust from the bricks gets on everything, your clothes, the desk, even the tea cups if you aren't careful. We’ve been in this market for a while now and we know most of the other shop owners around here. It’s a tight space and the trucks have a hard time backing in sometimes, but we make it work. Customers come in asking about prices and delivery times, and we just tell them how it is based on what’s in stock. Some days the sun is beating down and everyone is slow, and other days we’re rushing to get a load out before it rains. There isn't anything fancy about how we run things. We just keep an eye on the piles and talk to the drivers. It’s noisy with the traffic from Dugri passing by, but you get used to it after a week. We just stay focused on the bricks and the customers. It is just a regular local shop making things happen every day.
