We operate out of M.R. Plaza on Malhar Road in Sarabha Nagar. It’s shop number four, and usually, it's packed with speakers, flight cases, and tangled cables. Being a DJ in Ludhiana means a lot of heavy lifting and driving to different party plots or hotels around 141001. We spend a good chunk of our time just testing the gear to make sure no fuses blow when the bass hits. The office isn't where the action happens, obviously; it’s just where we meet people to talk about what kind of music they want. Sometimes the speakers take up so much space we can barely walk around. We’ve been doing this for a while now, and our ears are probably a bit worse for wear because of it. It’s not just about pushing buttons; there’s a lot of preparation that goes into sorting through tracks and making sure the lights are synced up right. Sarabha Nagar is a busy spot, so parking the van to load up can be a real headache sometimes. We carry a lot of backup equipment too, just in case something stops working in the middle of a set. It’s a tiring job with very late finishes, usually long after everyone else has gone to sleep, but it’s what we do. We often end up eating dinner at odd hours from roadside stalls after the speakers are finally packed away back in the van.
