Naseem Mobile Repair Centre

Our repair shop is located at Aarti Chowk, inside the Khatri Palace building on the Main Road in Raopura. It is a very busy spot and there is always a lot of shouting and horns honking outside. Inside, it is a bit quieter, but we are usually hunched over a desk with a magnifying glass trying to fix a tiny circuit board. We see a lot of broken screens and phones that have been dropped in water. Most people are in a hurry to get their devices back, so we try to work as fast as we can, but some repairs just take time. The shop is small and we have parts for all kinds of mobiles tucked away in little plastic bins. It can get a bit disorganized when we have a lot of customers, but we manage to keep track of whose phone is whose. We don't have any fancy equipment, just the standard tools and a soldering iron that has seen a lot of use. People from all over Raopura come to us because they know where we are and they know we will tell them straight if a phone can be fixed or if it’s junk. We spend our days mostly looking at screens or talking to people about why their battery isn't holding a charge anymore. It is just a regular job for us, nothing more, nothing less. We just keep at it.
