N K Machine Tools is based on Gill Infantry Road. It is a pretty well-known street around here. We’ve been operating from this location for quite a few years now. The shop is mostly filled with machines and the tools that go with them. It can be a bit loud and crowded inside, especially when we are testing something or moving heavy equipment around. We don't have a fancy reception area with sofas or coffee. Usually, people just walk straight into the work area to talk to us. We prefer it that way because it's more direct. Most of the guys working here have a lot of experience with the gear we sell. We aren't really salespeople in the traditional sense. We just talk about the machines and what they can do. If someone has a question, we answer it honestly. Sometimes the road outside gets really packed with traffic, but that’s just part of being on Infantry Road. We have built up a steady group of customers over time. They know where to find us and they know we don't do a lot of fluff. It’s just a practical business run by people who know the trade. We aren't looking to become a giant chain; we are happy right where we are. It’s a lot of hard work, but we enjoy it. It keeps us busy and out of trouble.
