We have been operating N K H Machine Tools for a good number of years now right here on Chandigarh Road. It is a straightforward kind of place where we deal with all sorts of machinery and parts every day. The shop isn't much to look at from the outside but it gets the job done for the people who come by. We spend most of our mornings moving heavy crates and checking the stock we have on the shelves. It gets a bit dusty inside with all the metalwork and tools sitting around. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook and other times it is quiet enough to hear the traffic outside on the main road. My brother and I usually handle the walk-ins while the boys in the back focus on the technical stuff. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop in the area, just a reliable one where people know what to expect when they walk through the door. If a customer needs a specific tool for a job, we go through the inventory to see what is available. It is a lot of physical labor and staying on our feet most of the day. We usually have the radio playing in the background to keep things lively while we work. The address is easy to spot once you get onto Chandigarh Road. We just keep our heads down and stay busy with the daily tasks that come our way.
