Milan Marriage Helpline is based at number 16 in Ghumar Mandi, right by the Chowk. This is a very active part of the city, and the Chowk is always busy with traffic and people. We have been working out of this office for quite a long time. It’s not a large or modern office, just a simple room with some desks and a lot of folders. Being in Ghumar Mandi means we are right in the middle of everything, which is convenient for people coming to see us. We don't have any big corporate goals or a mission statement to talk about. We just sit here, answer the phones, and talk to the families who visit. It’s a lot of manual record-keeping and listening to what people need. The noise from the Chowk can be quite loud sometimes, but we’ve learned to ignore it over the years. We aren't a big team, just a small group of people who know the local area well. We keep things very informal and straightforward. There’s no fancy tech here, just us and our paper files. People usually find us because we’ve been at this address for so long. We just open the doors every day and handle whatever comes our way. It’s a plain, honest business and we are happy staying right here at number 16 in the heart of Ghumar Mandi, helping out the neighbors who walk in.
