Mehar And Mukand Tools is situated at 96/97 Chandigarh Road in Doraha, specifically in Phase VII. Being right on the Chandigarh Road means we see a lot of traffic and commuters every single day. The dust from the road tends to settle on everything, so we are constantly cleaning off our benches and equipment. Our facility is a bit larger than some of the others in this area, giving us enough room to spread out our work. We’ve been here in Phase VII for some time now, and we’ve seen the area grow up around us. It’s a busy place with a lot of manufacturing going on. Inside, the atmosphere is focused and mostly quiet except for the hum of the equipment. We don't use fancy computers for everything; a lot of the work is still done by hand and eye. The two of us, Mehar and Mukand, started this together because we wanted to have our own place. We spend a lot of time talking about how to fix things or improve the way we handle the metal. There is a small kettle in the corner for making tea, which is probably the most used item in the shop besides the wrenches. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything like that. We just show up, do the work, and hope the traffic isn't too bad on the way home after a long day of labor.
