Manjit Machine Tools

Manjit Machine Tools is situated at 14592 G.T.B Nagar on the GT Road, right near the Gulzar Petrol Pump. Being so close to the main road means there is always a lot of traffic and horns honking outside our door. It can be a bit distracting when you are trying to concentrate on a specific part, but you eventually stop hearing it. People often stop by just because they saw us while they were getting fuel at the petrol pump next door. The shop floor is quite long and narrow, so we have to be careful how we stack the heavy components so nobody trips. We have an old desk near the front where we keep the ledger, though it is usually buried under a pile of various bits and pieces. The lighting inside is not the best, so we rely a lot on the light coming in from the open front door. During the monsoon, the water sometimes pools near the entrance, and we have to put down some wooden planks to walk on. It is a simple setup, and we do not spend much time worrying about how it looks to people passing by. We are more concerned with making sure the machines are running and the work is getting done. It is a dusty environment, and the smell of diesel from the road is always there, but we have been here so long it feels like home now.
