Lyall Sons

Lyall Sons is over at B-29/40A on Daba Road, right by the Sherpur Bye Pass on G.T. Road. It is a very busy area because of the bypass, so there are always big trucks rumbling by. The dust from the road is something we just deal with every day. Our building is a simple one, nothing too special to look at. We spend most of our time in the back where the work happens. The office part is just a small room with a couple of chairs and a calendar on the wall that is usually a month behind. It gets quite cold in the winter being so close to the open road, but we just wear extra sweaters and keep going. We have been in this spot for a long time, and we have seen the area around Sherpur change a lot. More buildings have gone up, and the traffic has definitely gotten worse. We don't really have a big staff, just a few of us who have been working together for years. We know each other’s habits and how we like our tea. Most of our day is spent checking on things and talking to drivers who stop by. It is not a glamorous job, but it is what we know. We just stay focused on the tasks in front of us and keep things moving as best as we can.
