Lyall Engg. Works (Regd)

We've been here on Daba Road for a long time now. If you head down towards Sherpur Bye Pass Chowk, you'll find our gate at B-29/39. It's an engineering workshop, so there is always the sound of machines and the smell of metal in the air. We keep things pretty straightforward here at Lyall Engg. Works (Regd). Most days start early, before the traffic on the bypass gets too heavy. We don’t have a fancy office or anything like that. It’s just a place where we get the work done. The guys in the shop know their machines inside and out. We spend most of our time looking at drawings and making sure things fit together like they should. Sometimes the power goes out or a machine needs a bit of tinkering, but that is just how it goes in this part of town. We are right in the middle of the industrial hub, so there is always something moving in and out. If you walk inside, you'll see stacks of parts and some oily rags on the benches. We don't worry too much about keeping things looking like a showroom. The focus is on the lathes and the milling work. People around here know where we are. We just open up the shutters every morning and get through the list of jobs we have for the day. It’s noisy, dusty, and honest work that keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. The afternoon tea is usually what we look forward to the most.
