Ludhiana Machine Tool Makers Association is over at 30, G.F. Classic Tower. If you know Dholewal Chowk, we are right near there, just off the G.T. Road. It's a busy spot. The traffic outside never really stops, and there is always a bit of dust coming in from the main road. Our office is on the ground floor, which makes it easy for people to just walk in when they have something to discuss about the machines they are building. Most of the time, we are just sitting here handling things for the local makers. It is a plain space with some old wooden desks and a lot of registers stacked up. We keep the fan running all day because it gets quite warm in Ludhiana. Sometimes the tea stall guy from around the corner brings us some chai, and that is usually the highlight of the afternoon. People from the nearby factories stop by to talk about tool parts or just to see what is happening. We don't have any fancy displays or anything like that. It is just a place where the local tool makers can get together and sort things out. The stairs in the building are a bit narrow, but since we are on the ground floor, it doesn't matter much. We have been in this part of town for a good while now, and everyone knows the Classic Tower landmark.
