Kawal Tools Centre

We are up on the 1St Floor at 19 Gill. It’s a bit of a climb, but we like it up here. Kawal Tools Centre has been in this building for a while now. Most people find us by word of mouth. Downstairs is always busy with traffic, so it’s a bit quieter once you get inside. We have shelves full of tools everywhere. Sometimes it's hard to find a specific wrench if we haven't organized things in a few days. My uncle used to run the place, and now I’m here most days. It’s not a big showroom. It’s more of a place where workers and mechanics come to get what they need for a job. We talk about the weather or how the local teams are doing while we look for parts. The lighting isn't the best, but we know where everything is. If we don’t have it, we usually know who does. It’s a simple business. We open early because that’s when people are heading to work. By the afternoon, it gets a bit dusty from the street below. We just wipe things down and keep going. Being on the first floor means we see a lot of people coming and going. We don’t have any big signs, just the one by the stairs. It’s a honest living and we enjoy the people who stop by. We aren't fancy folks.
