Kamla Karyana Store

Our little shop sits at 870/22 in Ludhiana Central, right near the old Killa Gate. It’s an area with a lot of history and plenty of people moving around all day. We deal in all the kitchen basics like pulses, spices, and flour. It gets quite loud outside with the rickshaws and the local market noise, but we are used to it by now. The shop is small and packed to the ceiling with stuff. I usually spend my time weighing things out or writing down what we need to order for next week. Ludhiana winters are cold, so we usually have a small heater tucked behind the counter to keep our hands warm while we work. We don't really do any fancy displays. The goods are just there on the shelves where people can see them. Customers come in and tell us about their day while we bag their groceries. It feels good to be part of the community here. Sometimes children come in with a few coins for some sweets, and that reminds me of when I was younger helping my father. We don’t have a big team, just a couple of us making sure things run okay. It's hard work and the days are long, but this is what we do. We try to keep things honest and simple for everyone who walks in. We hope to stay here for many more years to come.
