Kabir Foundry Works

Down at 334, Industrial Area-A, things get pretty hot and noisy. That’s just the nature of running a foundry like Kabir Foundry Works. We spend most of our time around the furnaces and the molds. It is sweaty work, especially during the summer months when the air feels thick in the workshop. We have been in this spot for quite some time, tucked away among the other units in Area-A. Every morning starts the same way, checking the equipment and getting the melt started. We do a lot of casting work here. Some days everything flows perfectly and other days we have to fix a mold that didn't set right. It's not a clean job; your clothes will definitely get soot and dust on them by lunchtime. We don't have a big front office or anything polished. Usually, if someone wants to talk to us, they just walk into the main bay and find whoever isn't busy with a pour. We use a lot of scrap metal and turn it into something useful again. It’s practical work for practical people. The neighbors know us by the smoke and the sound of the hammers. We don't spend money on fancy brochures. We just focus on getting the iron and steel into the right shapes so people can use them for their machines. It’s a simple life at 334, just staying busy and keeping the fires going through the day. We like it that way.
