Jyoti Cutting Tools

Jyoti Cutting Tools is based at 286 New Janta Nagar 45C. It is a small shop, but we pack a lot into it. We specialize in exactly what the name says—cutting tools. Whether it is for lathes or milling machines, we handle a lot of the sharpening and supply side of things. It is a very dusty job. Metal shavings get everywhere, so we are constantly sweeping up. We do not have a big staff, just a handful of us who know how to handle the grinders. It takes a steady hand and a lot of patience to get the edges right. We do not have a fancy showroom. If you come in, you will just see rows of tools and the machines we use to work on them. Most of our customers are other small workshops in the area. They bring in their dull bits and we fix them up. It is not glamorous, and the air always smells like sparks and hot steel. We do not have a social media page or a brochure. People just know we are here because we have been here for a long time. We drink a lot of tea and talk about the news while we work. It is a good way to spend the day. We just focus on getting the tools sharp and getting them back to the owners. That is what keeps the shop running year after year.
