Jindal Agro Mills (P) Ltd. is out here in V.P.O. Jandiali. We’re right along Chandigarh Road, so there’s always trucks going back and forth. It gets pretty dusty, especially in the summer. We’ve been running the mill for a long time. It’s a lot of machinery and noise. We start early, usually before the sun is fully up. The location is good because the transport can get in and out easily. Being in Jandiali means we’re a bit away from the main city, which is nice in some ways. We don’t have any fancy office decorations. It’s just a place of work. We handle agro products, so things depend on the season. When it’s harvest time, we’re working late every night. Other times, it’s a bit quieter. We have a crew from the local village who have been with us forever. They know the machines better than anyone. Chandigarh Road is a main path, so we see a lot of people passing through. We just try to keep the mill running smooth. There’s always something that needs fixing or oiling. That’s just the nature of this business. We don’t do much advertising. People know where we are. If you head down Chandigarh Road towards Jandiali, you can’t miss the silos. It’s a practical life, working with the land's output. Some days are harder than others when the equipment acts up, but we just get through it together.
