Jaswal Beauty Salon is over on Vridh Ashram Road in the Model Town Extension area of Ludhiana. It’s a quieter part of town compared to the main markets, which I actually prefer. Being near the old age home means the street isn't as chaotic as some other parts of Model Town. The shop is just a regular local salon. We have a small staff and we all know each other well. It’s the kind of place where you can come in and just relax for a bit while getting a haircut. We don't have any of that corporate polish. The chairs are a bit worn in, but they are comfortable enough for a long sitting. Ludhiana can be quite dusty, so we are always wiping down the counters and cleaning the combs. I like to keep a few plants near the window, even if they don't always grow perfectly. Most of our days are spent chatting with the neighbors who stop by for a trim or just to say hello. We aren't trying to be the most expensive place in the city. We just provide a place where people can come to get cleaned up without any fuss. The sign outside is simple, just the name and what we do. If you are ever down near Vridh Ashram Road, you’ll see us there. We are usually open six days a week, taking a break on Mondays when things are slow.
