Our place is located near the Labour Colony, and it’s been there for quite some time now. Ally Beauty Parlour And Clinic is just a small, local spot where people from around the area stop by. It’s not one of those high-end places you see in the malls. We just have our basic equipment and a few chairs for whoever needs a trim or some skin care. Most of the people who come in live right around the corner, so it feels more like a neighborhood hangout than a business sometimes. We open up in the morning and stay until the last customer is done in the evening. There’s always some laundry to do, like towels and capes, and the floor needs sweeping every hour because of all the hair. It gets dusty being near the road, but we do our best to keep it neat inside. We don't spend money on big ads or anything like that. People just hear about us from their friends or family. It’s a practical little shop. Sometimes it’s quiet, and other times every seat is full with people waiting and talking. We just take it as it comes. It's hard work being on your feet all day, but it’s what we do. If you’re in the colony, you’ve probably walked past us plenty of times already.
