Janu Hair Saloon

Janu Hair Saloon is found in the Subhani Building on Neem Wala Chowk Road in Ludhiana. Everyone around here knows Neem Wala Chowk, so we are easy to find. The building is older and has that character you only get with time. Inside, the shop is filled with the smell of talcum powder and aftershave. We have a couple of chairs and a bench where people can sit and wait. It is often crowded on the weekends, especially with younger guys wanting to look sharp. The traffic on the road outside is always heavy, with rickshaws and bikes squeezing past each other. We hear the constant noise, but after working here for so long, you just stop noticing it. The walls have some old mirrors that might be a bit cracked at the edges, but they still show what they need to. We do not have any fancy equipment, just the clippers, scissors, and combs that we have used for years. It is a very local kind of place. You won't see any big advertisements for us anywhere. People just know us because we have been here in the Subhani Building for a long time. We take our time with each person and try to make sure they are satisfied before they leave. It is honest work and it keeps us busy from the moment we open the shutters in the morning.
