J.S. Matharoo Machine Tools

Our workshop is located at 623/48/2 in Janta Nagar, specifically on Street No 5. We are pretty close to Burji Camp, so that’s a good landmark to look for if you’re trying to find us. It’s a family name on the sign, and we’ve tried to keep the tradition going for a long time. The space is filled with different types of machine tools, some old and some newer ones we picked up over the years. It’s a bit cramped inside because we never seem to throw anything away. You never know when a spare gear or a rusted bolt might come in handy. The street outside is always full of activity, with people moving back and forth all day. We usually have the doors open to let some air in, especially when we are doing some heavy cutting. It gets quite loud, but the neighbors don’t seem to mind much since everyone is doing similar work around here. We don’t have any fancy brochures or marketing people. Most of our work comes from people we’ve known for years. Sometimes we just sit on the stools and talk about how the industry has changed. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s what we know. We just focus on the task in front of us and try to get it done right. That’s how we’ve always operated in Janta Nagar.
