We set up Ivan Agro Farmer Producer Company Limited in Ward 16, right across from Ganpati Cloth House. Being near Bhai Ji Kutia in Budhlada, which is in the Mansa district, makes us easy to find. This is a local operation where a bunch of us get together to manage our farming stuff. We aren't some massive corporation with a glass building. Instead, we have a simple place where we meet up and talk about the seeds, the weather, and the market. Most of our time is spent out on the actual farms rather than sitting in the office chairs. Dealing with the usual problems like pests or not enough water is just part of the routine, and we try to help each other out. Budhlada is a tight-knit place, so everyone knows who we are and what we’re doing without us saying much. Advertising isn't where we spend our money; we’d rather put that back into the farm equipment or the land itself. It’s hard work and the hours are long, especially when harvest time comes around. Without a boss who sits in a chair all day, we all just pitch in and do the chores. This simple way of living and working keeps us busy from dawn till dusk every day. Even when we get tired of the heat, there is always another job waiting to be finished. Staying honest and keeping our heads down is how we get the work done.
