Hotel Prem Sagar

Our place, Hotel Prem Sagar, sits at 17B/477/E in Jawahar Nagar. Most people know us because we are right near the Nal Stop on Karve Road in Pune. Being so close to the bus stand means there is never a quiet moment. The traffic on Karve Road is something else, especially during the morning and evening rush hours when everyone is trying to get somewhere. We see a lot of students from the nearby colleges and people who are just passing through town for work. The building is tucked in a way that you might miss it if you aren't looking, but we have a sign out. Inside, it’s pretty basic. We have rooms for people who need to stay overnight and a small area where they can get some tea or a simple meal. The furniture is older wood and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint soon, but everything works okay. We spend a lot of time just managing the daily chores like laundry and making sure the water tanks are full. Dealing with the Pune humidity is part of the job. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything; it’s just us running the place day to day. We know the regular bus drivers and the shopkeepers around Jawahar Nagar quite well. It’s a tight-knit spot despite all the strangers moving through every day. Our nights are spent prepping for the next day's crowd to make sure things go smoothly.
