Our shop is tucked away on 22 Feet Road in the New Tagore Nagar area of Ludhiana. If you know where Sethi Atta Chaki is, then you can find us pretty easily. We have been on Anand Nagar Road for some time now. It’s a tight street, and parking can be a bit of a headache, but people still manage to find us. We handle both hair and beauty things here. Most of the time, it’s just the local crowd coming in. We don’t have any big signs or bright lights, just a simple board outside. Inside, it’s mostly just the sound of the scissors and some chatter. I spend a lot of time organizing the combs and the bottles. My hands are usually smelling like soap or hair oil by the end of the shift. We don’t really do anything too complicated. If someone wants a basic cut or their hair colored, we just do it. The shop is small, so you can’t really fit more than four or five people at once without it feeling cramped. Sometimes the electricity goes out in this part of Ludhiana, so we keep some hand fans ready. It’s a quiet life in New Tagore Nagar compared to the main roads. We just focus on our work and try to stay out of trouble. It’s just me and a few others working the chairs most days, keeping things moving as they always have.
