Hayaat Hair Saloon

Our shop is at Street Number 1 in Narinder Nagar, right by Samrala Chowk in Ludhiana. It’s inside the Broadway Market area. It’s a busy part of town with a lot of shops and people around. We’ve been here at Shop Number 33 for quite a while now. It’s a typical local saloon. We have the usual chairs and some pictures of different hairstyles on the wall, though most people just ask for the same simple thing every time they come. The market is always loud, so there’s a lot of noise coming in from the front door from the scooters and vendors. We don't mind it, it’s just part of being in this area. We have a few guys working here who know the locals well. We don't do anything special or use expensive branded products. It’s just simple haircuts and shaves for the working men around here. Sometimes we have tea delivered from the stall nearby and sit for a minute on the bench when it’s slow. The shop isn't modern or stylish, it’s just a place to get a job done. We try to keep the scissors sharp and the towels clean as much as possible. It’s a small business and we put in a lot of hours every single week. Most of our customers come because they’ve been coming here for years and they like seeing the same familiar faces behind the chairs. It's just how we do things.
