Gupta Company

We are located right in the thick of things at the Manikaran Tools Market on Gill Road. Gupta Company has been a part of this market community for a long time now. If you have ever taken a walk through this area, you know it is like a sea of tools and hardware shops. Our shop is just like many of the others around here—it is filled right up to the ceiling with whatever stock we can fit onto the wooden shelves. It can be a bit of a tight squeeze when more than two or three people are inside at the same time. We do not have a big corporate team with managers; it is mostly just a few of us handling the front counter and moving the stock around. People come in looking for very specific parts or tools for their machines, and we spend a lot of our time digging through old boxes to find exactly what they need. Gill Road is always noisy, and the market can be quite loud with all the loading and unloading of crates. We do not really have a grand vision or a mission statement; we just want to make sure we have the items people are looking for when they stop by the shop. Sometimes the black dust from the road gets into the shop, so we are always wiping down the counters with a cloth. It is a simple life for us. We have regulars who have been buying from us since my father was running the place. We drink tea and talk to the neighbors between customers.
