We’ve been running this shop on Chandigarh road for quite some time now. It’s right there on the H.M.T. Main Road, so it’s easy enough to spot if you’re driving by. Mostly, people stop in when they’ve run out of the basics at home, like flour, sugar, or some specific lentils for dinner. We don’t have any fancy displays or anything like that. The shelves are just packed with whatever we could fit, and sometimes things are a little bit out of order when we’re busy. It’s usually just one or two of us here behind the counter, trying to keep up with the morning rush. The floor is concrete and shows its age, but we keep it swept as much as we can. Sometimes the delivery guys leave crates sitting near the entrance for a while, so you might have to step around them. We aren’t a big supermarket, just a local place where the neighbors come to get what they need without any fuss. The fan on the ceiling makes a bit of a clicking sound in the heat, but it keeps the air moving. We don't have a website or a social media page. We just open up early in the morning and stay until the sun goes down and the traffic on the main road starts to thin out. It’s a simple way to make a living, and we’ve gotten used to the noise of the trucks passing by all day.
