We’ve been tucked away at Shop No 19 in Dholewal for quite some time now. It’s a busy area and the traffic outside can get pretty loud during the middle of the day. Inside the shop, things are a bit more organized, though there’s always a bit of dust on the shelves from the street. Goodwill Machine Tools deals with machine tools mostly. It’s the kind of place where you can find those specific bits and pieces that the bigger hardware stores don't always keep in stock. I remember when we first moved in, the space felt huge, but now every corner is filled with something. It’s just a few of us working here. We know most of the regulars by name since they’ve been coming to us for years. My brother handles the inventory while I usually talk to the customers. Sometimes the computers act up, so we go back to writing things down on paper ledgers. It feels more reliable that way sometimes. We don't have any flashy signs or anything like that. People find us because they know we’re here in Dholewal. The shop gets a bit cramped when a big delivery arrives, but we manage. We just try to provide what people need for their workshops and keep things simple. It’s a steady life. There’s always something to organize or a shelf to restock, so the days go by pretty fast for everyone here. We aren't doing anything fancy, just keeping the shop open.
