G D S Mechanical Works

You can find G D S Mechanical Works over in Andheri East, specifically at 3004 Janta Nagar inside the Prince Arcade. We are right on Central Road in the Marol MIDC area, which means it’s always crowded with people working in the different factories and offices nearby. Our space in the arcade isn't huge, so we have to be smart about how we stack our supplies. It gets pretty humid in this part of Mumbai, and the air inside the shop can feel a bit heavy sometimes. We usually have a small fan pointed directly at the main workbench to keep things bearable. There’s always the sound of engines and distant machinery humming in the background of the MIDC. We don't have a receptionist or a waiting room; people just walk straight back to where we are working. Most of our days are spent troubleshooting mechanical issues or cleaning up parts that have seen better days. It’s a lot of manual labor and standing on your feet for hours at a time. We don't really do much in the way of advertising because the local guys know we're here. The commute to Andheri can be a struggle with the train crowds, but once we’re at the shop, we just focus on the tasks at hand. It’s a basic setup that works for us and the people who come to see us.
