Faqir Chand Ruldu Ram

Our place is located at 77 A. T. I. Road, right by the Post Office Road in Phase-V. The name Faqir Chand Ruldu Ram comes from my grandfather and his brother. They started this business a long time ago with just a couple of manual machines and a lot of patience. These days, things are a bit faster, but we still try to keep that same way of doing things. The neighborhood has changed quite a bit since I was a kid. There are more buildings now and the roads are paved better, but the dust still finds its way inside. We handle a lot of metal work and mechanical repairs. The shop is usually full of the smell of cutting oil and iron. It’s a smell you get used to after thirty years. My cousins work here too, so it’s a real family environment, for better or worse. We argue about where to put the new stock or who forgot to lock the side gate, but we always get the work done by the end of the shift. The benches are scarred from years of use, and we have tools that have been passed down through three generations. It’s not a fancy showroom. It’s a working shop where things get made and fixed. People come to us because they know we’ve been on A. T. I. Road forever. We just keep our heads down and stay busy with whatever comes through the door each morning.
