Famous Hair Parlour

You can find us tucked away behind Shingar Cinema Road, near Samrala Chowk in Ludhiana. We are specifically in the Harchand Nagar area. It’s not the easiest place to spot if you aren't looking for it, but most of the locals know the way. We’ve been operating out of this small shop for years. It is a quiet backstreet, which is nice because it stays a bit calmer than the main road. The parlour isn't anything special to look at. We have a couple of chairs that have seen better days, but they are still sturdy. We mainly handle men’s haircuts and beard trims. Sometimes kids come in with their dads on Sundays. It gets busy then. We don't use any high-tech equipment, just some good scissors and a steady hand. My brother and I run the place most days. We keep our tools sharp and the floor swept as much as possible, though hair gets everywhere by noon. People come here to talk about the local news or just to sit for a bit while they get their hair sorted out. We don’t have a website or anything like that. People just walk in. If the chair is empty, you're next. That’s how we’ve always done it here in Ludhiana. It’s a decent way to spend the day, meeting neighbors and keeping everyone looking tidy enough for their jobs.
