Eastman Cast & Forge Ltd

We are set up right on G.T. Road, not too far from the Airport Road junction. It’s a spot that sees a lot of traffic, with planes flying low overhead quite often. Being in the casting and forging business means our site is pretty rugged. There is a lot of heavy machinery and the heat from the furnaces is something you just get used to after a week on the job. We have been at this location for a long time, and the buildings show a bit of that age, but they are sturdy. Most of our work involves heavy metal parts, so there’s always the sound of hammers or machines running in the background. It’s a dusty environment, especially when the wind picks up off the main road, but the work is steady. We have a lot of workers who commute from the nearby villages every morning. The office is just a small part of the whole complex, mostly used for keeping the logs and handling the shipping details. We don't really do much in the way of fancy meetings; most decisions happen right on the shop floor where the actual work is going on. It’s a straightforward operation here. We make the parts, we check them, and we send them out. It’s hard work, and the days can be long, but there’s a sense of pride in seeing the finished products stacked up and ready to go.
