If you go behind the new cycle market over in Miller Ganj, you’ll find us at 731 St Andrews Road. We’re in that spot they call Classic Corner. It’s a hardware and mill store, which basically means we spend our days surrounded by boxes of nuts, bolts, tools, and all the stuff that keeps other machines running. It’s a lot of inventory to keep track of. We spend plenty of time climbing ladders to reach the top shelves or digging through bins to find that one specific size someone is looking for. The shop isn't very big, so we have to stack things pretty high. It’s a bit of a maze back there. Miller Ganj is a busy area, especially with the cycle market right next door. We get a lot of people coming in with a broken piece of hardware asking if we have anything that matches it. Usually, we can find something that works. We aren't trying to be anything fancy. It’s just a store where you can get what you need for a repair or a project. We keep the ledger on the desk and try to stay on top of the stock as best as we can. Sometimes we run out of things and have to wait for the next delivery truck to squeeze through the narrow street. It’s a lot of standing on your feet and talking to people all day long until we lock the doors.
