Dhir Tent & Caterers

If you go down to shimlapuri, specifically over by Chaitraban Society on Iti Road, you will find us. We’re right near Parihar Chowk at number 184. Dhir Tent & Caterers has been a part of this community for a long while now. Most of our days are spent hauling heavy poles, folding massive sheets of colorful fabric, and making sure the kitchen equipment is scrubbed clean. It is physically demanding work, especially when the weather isn't cooperating. One minute we are setting up a big tent for a gathering, and the next we are worried about the wind. The kitchen side of things is even more chaotic. There is always a pot of something bubbling away and the smell of spices hanging in the air. We don't have a big corporate team; it’s mostly just family and local workers who know how to get things moved quickly. Parihar Chowk is a busy spot, so getting our trucks in and out of the space at 184 can be a real headache sometimes. We’ve had to learn how to pack everything just right so it doesn't shift during the drive. People know us for being around when there’s a big event happening. We don’t spend much time on the computer or making fancy brochures. Our hands are usually busy with ropes or ladles. It’s just how we operate, keeping things moving and making sure the food is ready on time.
