Delhi Hair Saloon

Delhi Hair Saloon is over in Haibowal Kalan in Ludhiana, right near Goggy Market. If you know the area, we are also very close to Bhole Ki Dukan, which everyone uses as a landmark. The shop is a typical local spot for the men around here. I usually open up early because that’s when the older guys like to come in for a shave before starting their day. The chairs are old-school, the kind that lean back a long way. The mirrors have a few spots on the edges where the silver is coming off, but you can still see yourself just fine. Link Road is always busy, so there is a constant sound of scooters and bikes passing by. We keep a stack of newspapers on the small table for people waiting. Mostly, the talk is about the local news or how the cricket match went last night. I’ve been cutting hair in this neighborhood for a long time, so I know most of the heads that come through that door. It gets a bit hot in the summer, but we have a good cooler that helps. Sometimes the floor gets covered in hair faster than I can sweep it up, especially on Sundays when everyone wants a haircut at the same time. It’s a busy life, but it’s good to be part of the community here. We don't do anything too complicated, just good honest haircuts.
