We are located at E-648-A in Phase V of the Focal Point, which is right near the BSNL exchange. If you are on Gill Road, you have to look for M.C. Block Number 2 and head up to the second floor. It is a very busy industrial part of town, so there is always dust and the smell of grease in the air. We are the Chamber of Industrial and Commercial Undertakings, and our office is where local business owners come to talk. The room is full of heavy wooden furniture and some framed photos of old committees from years ago. The windows are usually shut to keep the noise from the street out, but you can still hear the horns honking. We have a lot of ledgers and old books that track everything that has happened in the district. It’s not a modern glass office; it’s more of a place where people who actually work for a living come to get things sorted out. There is always a stack of newspapers on the main table and the tea guy knows exactly how everyone likes their drink. We spend our time writing letters and helping people navigate all the different rules they have to follow. It’s just a solid, honest place where we keep the gears of the local industry turning as best as we can. It’s a bit cramped with all the files, but we manage.
