Chaand Light & Tent House

Our shop is located right on Lambe Hanuman Road in the Krishna Nagar area. If you’ve walked down this street, you probably saw our sign for Chaand Light & Tent House. It’s a family-run place, mostly just me and a few cousins. We keep all the poles, fabrics, and lights stacked up in the back. It can get pretty messy during wedding season when everyone is calling at once. We don’t really have a fancy showroom. Most of the time, we are out at different sites setting things up or taking them down. It’s hard work, especially when the weather is hot, but we’re used to it by now. We’ve been in this part of town for years. The neighbors know us well. We aren’t looking to become a huge corporation. We just want to make sure the lights turn on when they’re supposed to and the tents stay up. Sometimes a bulb burns out or a curtain gets a tear, and we just fix it. That’s how it goes. People come to us because we are right here in the neighborhood. We don’t do big ads. Usually, someone just tells their neighbor about us. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and late nights, but it pays the bills. My grandfather started with just a few lights, and we just kept adding more as the years went on. We like being part of the local celebrations. It makes the long hours feel a bit more worthwhile.
