Bishnu Hair Parlour

Bishnu Hair Parlour is right on the Main Road in Sardar Nagar. You can’t really miss it if you’re driving through Ludhiana. It’s a busy street, so there is always a lot of noise and people walking past the window. I opened this shop because I wanted to work for myself and be near my house. The shop has been here for a few years now. It’s a simple setup with three chairs and some mirrors that have seen better days. We don't do anything very modern, just the usual hair cutting and shaving that most men around here want. My brother helps out on the weekends when it gets crowded. Sometimes we have a line of people waiting outside, especially on Sunday mornings. We have a small radio that plays the news or some music to keep things from being too quiet. The floor gets covered in hair pretty fast, so we spend a lot of time with the broom. It’s a hard job standing all day, but it’s what I know how to do. We aren't trying to be like those big shops in the mall. This is just a place for the neighborhood guys to get a quick trim. We keep it straightforward and don't charge too much.
