Bax International

We’re set up on Gen. Mohan Singh Road, right across from where Poddar Tyres Ltd is. It’s a busy stretch of the GT Road near Jugiana. You can’t miss it because of all the trucks and traffic passing by all day long. Bax International is what we call the business, and we’ve been here for a good while. We handle international stuff, which mostly means a lot of paperwork and checking shipping containers. The office is a bit old-fashioned, maybe. We have big filing cabinets and desks that have seen better days, but they do the job. We don’t see the point in buying new stuff if the old stuff still works. The noise from the GT Road is something you just get used to after a week or two. It’s a good location for us because of the transport links. We have a small staff, just a handful of people who know how the customs and the shipping routes work. We drink a lot of chai and spend a lot of time looking at schedules. It’s not the most exciting work to hear about, but it’s important for moving things around the world. We don’t have a website that’s updated every day or anything like that. People mostly know us through word of mouth or because they saw our sign while driving to Ludhiana. We just keep things moving along and hope the traffic isn't too bad in the evening. It is what it is.
