Bawa Unisex Hair Saloon is located at Chain Chowk in Jawahar Nagar, Ludhiana. Since it is a unisex place, we get all kinds of people coming in every day. You might see a guy getting a beard trim in one chair and a lady getting her hair colored in the next. It makes the day interesting because you never know who is going to walk in next. Chain Chowk is a very loud and busy area, so there is always something happening outside the window. We usually have some music playing to cover the sound of the traffic. I have a few people helping me out because it’s too much work for one person. We don't have fancy uniforms or anything corporate like that. We just wear our regular clothes and get to work. Ludhiana is a city where people really care about their style, so we have to stay busy to keep up with what they want. It gets tiring being on your feet for ten hours a day, but I’ve gotten used to it over the years. We try to keep things organized, but when it’s busy, the floor gets covered in hair pretty fast. I just like the fact that we have a steady stream of regulars who have been coming to us since we opened. It’s a good feeling.
