We have a few chairs for visitors and a large desk where we keep the registers. The Batra name has been around here for a long time, so people usually know where to find us without needing a GPS. We don't do much in the way of advertising. Most people just walk in because they saw the sign or a neighbor told them about us. Inside, it’s mostly just walls covered with some old calendars and a few photos. It’s not air-conditioned in every room, so in the summer, the ceiling fans are always humming at full speed. We spend our days talking to families, listening to their stories, and trying to help them find a good match. There’s no big mission statement on the wall. We just understand that finding a partner is a big deal and we try to be helpful. It’s a modest setup at 455 Swamy Temple Street, and that suits us just fine.
