B. K. Hardware

You can find B. K. Hardware over in Chaura Bazar, specifically in the Saban Bazar area near Gur Mandi. It’s one of those parts of the city where the streets are very narrow and always crowded with people and carts. Our shop is quite small and we have to stack things very high just to make everything fit in. It’s been here for a long time, and the wooden counters are worn smooth from years of use. We mostly sell things like locks, door fittings, and basic hand tools. It gets very loud during the day with all the shouting and noise from the market outside. Sometimes it’s a real struggle to get new stock delivered because the big trucks can’t get into these small lanes. We have to use small carts to bring everything in from the main road. The lighting inside isn't the best, so we use a few extra tube lights to see what we are doing in the corners. I know most of the other shopkeepers around here, and we often share tea in the afternoons. It’s a busy way to make a living, and there is never a quiet moment until we finally shut the shutters at night. People come to us because they know we have those small, hard-to-find hardware bits. We don't have a website or anything like that. We just open the door and wait for whoever comes by for a bit of work.
