Avon Beauty Salon is right here in Deep Nagar, Ludhiana. It's a place we've had for a good bit of time now. Most days start with sweeping the floor and getting the towels ready before the first person walks in. It isn't a huge place with marble floors or anything like that, but it works for what we do. We mainly handle haircuts, some face stuff, and general grooming for the people living nearby. Living and working in Ludhiana means dealing with the heat and the dust, so we try to keep the inside cool and tidy for anyone coming in. There are a few chairs and big mirrors. Sometimes the music is playing, usually just whatever is on the radio that day. People come in, sit down, and tell us what they want. We don't use a lot of fancy words for styles. If you want a trim, you get a trim. The neighborhood is fairly quiet around our shop except for the afternoons when school lets out. We've seen kids grow up coming here for their first haircuts. It’s just how it is in a local spot. We keep the tools sharp and the water warm. Nothing more to it really.
