Our office for Utkrisht Krishi Producer Company Limited is at 551Ka/801A in Azad Nagar, which is part of the Alambagh area in Lucknow. If you know Alambagh, you know it is always crowded and there is a lot of energy. Our spot is tucked away in Azad Nagar, where things are a little tighter and the lanes are narrow. We have been here for a while, and the walls show it. There are some stains from old leaks and the paint is peeling a bit in the corners, but it works for what we need. We spend our days coordinating with the farming groups from the outskirts. It’s a lot of talking and a lot of tea. Sometimes the noise from the street makes it hard to hear, but we are used to it by now. We don't have any fancy brochures or a mission statement on the wall. We just have a list of names and a lot of work to do. The desks are covered in notebooks and pens that don't always work. We are just a group of people trying to make the agricultural business work in a big city like Lucknow. It is mostly about the daily grind of checking weights and making sure the payments go through. We don't pretend to be anything other than a local office doing local work for the people who grow our food.
