We have been here at Shop No-4 in Sector-J for a good while now. It is right on Engineering College Road, just across from Shyam Swade. If you know Aliganj, you know how busy this stretch gets, especially in the afternoons when students are around. We mostly keep our heads down and get through the work. The shop is not very big, but it fits what we need. Sometimes the street noise gets a bit loud, but you get used to it after a few years. It is just me and a couple of others here most days. We do not have a fancy lobby or anything like that. Just the counter and the stock in the back. People stop by on their way home or while they are out running errands in the area. It is a simple setup. We open up in the morning, usually around the time the traffic starts picking up, and stay until the evening. The sign outside has seen better days, but everyone in the neighborhood knows where we are. Dealing with the heat in Lucknow during May and June is probably the hardest part of the job. We have a small fan that does its best. We try to keep things organized, though sometimes the paperwork piles up on the desk when it gets busy. It is just a regular local business trying to keep things moving. We see a lot of familiar faces from the nearby houses.
