Huma Tour Travels

Huma Tour Travels is down in the basement of the Faridi Building. We are right across from the Basant Cinema in Hazratganj. Being in a basement means we don't get much natural light, but it stays a bit cooler in the summer, which is nice. The stairs down can be a bit steep, so you have to watch your step. We have several maps pinned to the walls and a lot of old brochures that we keep for reference. Hazratganj is the heart of the city, so there is always a lot of movement outside, even if we can't see it from our desks. We spend the day on the phone or looking at travel schedules on the computer. Sometimes the Basant Cinema crowd makes things a bit crowded on the sidewalk out front, especially when a new movie starts. We have been in the Faridi Building for quite a while. It’s a bit of a cramped space with all the files and the chairs, but it works for what we do. We help people figure out how to get to where they are going, whether it’s a bus or a train or a flight. It’s mostly just logistics and checking prices. We don't have fancy uniforms or anything. We just sit here, drink our chai, and handle the bookings. It gets busy during the holiday seasons, and then we are usually here late into the night.
