We operate out of Nehru Nagar in the Bahrauli area of Lucknow. Our address is house number 516. It’s a busy little spot, and we’ve been here for a while now working on agro projects. The building is a typical house that we’ve converted to fit our needs. We handle a lot of the back-end stuff for agricultural trade and supply chains here. It’s not a glamorous job. There’s a lot of sitting at old desks and making calls to distributors or farmers. We try to keep things organized, but when it’s peak season, there are papers everywhere and the tea kettle is always running. We like being in Lucknow because it’s central for all the surrounding rural areas. People come in and out all day, usually looking for advice on seeds or wanting to talk about supply issues. We don’t have a receptionist or anything like that. Usually, whoever is closest to the door just gets up to see who it is. We try to be practical about everything. Farming is a tough business, and we are just trying to provide the support that makes it a little easier for the folks out in the fields. It’s a small team here, and we all do a bit of everything, from accounting to checking the quality of the goods. We don’t put on any acts or fancy clothes. We just do the work and try to help where we can for the local community.
