Our place is at LG 3&4 in Chaupatiyan, which is part of the New Market area here in Lucknow. Being on the lower ground floor means it stays a bit cooler in the summer, which is nice for us when it's hot outside. It’s a busy market area, so there’s always something happening right outside the door. We aren't a big agency with hundreds of staff. It’s just a small group of us handling travel requests. People come in looking for help with various trips, maybe a bus ticket or a flight. We don't have a fancy lobby or anything like that. It’s just a workspace with some chairs for when people need to sit and wait. We’ve been in Chaupatiyan for a while now, so we know most of the other shopkeepers around here. The work is mostly checking schedules and making sure names are spelled right on tickets. It can be repetitive, but we don't mind the routine. We just try to get the job done so people can go on their trips without any trouble. We don't use any slick sales talk or corporate language. If someone asks for a price, we look it up and tell them clearly. It’s a very basic, honest way of doing things. Sometimes we have a backlog of messages to get through, but we eventually get back to everyone. That’s just life in a small local travel office in this part of town, keeping things simple and moving.
