You can find us at the Kachhauna Chauraha, which is right on the Lucknow Road. Our main point of contact is Ranu Bajpai at House No 01 in Patseny. We called ourselves Mallikarjunagrotech Farmer Producer Company Limited, but we are much more basic than that name sounds. We are just a group of neighbors who farm the land around here. We grow different things depending on what the season is. Being close to the Lucknow Road is a big help because it makes transport a lot easier. There is always the sound of trucks and cars going by, but we don't mind the noise much. We usually gather at Ranu’s place to talk about what we need to buy for the next season. It is a very informal setup. We don't have any secretaries or big computers. We just keep our records in a simple notebook. Some years the crops are great and other years the weather ruins things. That is just how it goes with farming. We try to help each other out by sharing tools or giving advice on pests. It’s a very practical way of doing things. We are just local people trying to make the most of what we have on our plots. We don't have any big corporate goals. We just show up and do the work every morning until it is finished.
